About the Speaker:

Jon Christopher Meyers

Jon is an award winning photographer with over a decade and a half of professional work experience behind the camera. The photographs he makes tell compelling stories, that are commissioned by corporations, magazines, advertising agencies, non-profits and individuals.  He is particularly adept at creating portraits that connect the viewer to the subject.   Dreams Without Limits is one of his longest projects to date; photographing nearly 40 subjects for this project over the course of 3 years.

As well as being a working photographer, Jon is also adjunct faculty at Lane Community College where he lectures and teaches photography.   This dual role gives him a unique perspective on his craft.  Jon's work is in several permanent collections including the University of Oregon Law Library.

As an adjunct faculty member at Lane Community College teaching photography in the Media Arts department, his work has changed and evolved from its commercial roots.  Teaching has given him the space to shape his work without the direction of an art director.  To create a style all his own.

Please join us on August 12th at 6:30pm for social time and BYO social distancing snacks before we get started at 7pm for what is sure to be a great presentation!
