This tour is FANTASTIC!

I will be leading us on this tour, starting out our day at Cornerstone Coffee, for some delicious coffee (or tea), then head out to our first stop.

Together we'll  "cruise the gut" by foot, in downtown historic McMinnville (like my brother did, and found his wife, in the 70's) and check out a few businesses, including an historic hotel with a cool dark cellar bar full of ambiance and a charming rooftop bar with a view.  After that, it's a quick walk to check out a variety of architecture from the oldest buildings in downtown, along with any shopping you wish to do--complete with a fun album store, arts, wine--while you hear stories from the past, including the dark side of Mcminnville's history...plus how turkeys, cherries and a man that lived to be 104, are part of the history here.

We will be touring an original flourmill, used as a feed store now, and made with huge original beams salvaged from the Tillamook burn of 1933.  Weigh in on an old floor scale and check out the antique cash register. Then there's an antique place with scores of old washers and photo opps to be had.

Our lunch stop is an award winning B & B, a one of a kind place that is very unique and cool; you've never seen one like this!  Here we'll have handmade pasta dishes and wood fired pizza, from a chef born and raised in Italy--it will knock your socks off!  With our lunch, you can choose a glass of wine or the wine tasting--all wines from Italy and fabulous!  This has been my favorite wine tasting. Ever.  Amazing.

In total, we'll be visiting two wine tasting rooms, where you will get 5-6 tastes of wine for $10, plus one with access to buy homemade delectable chocolates.  Out in the country, we'll take in the fall foliage along the way to a stop at a private residence, with a pond and herons.

If time permits, we have access to an old barn, and a sweet stop that not only has nostalgia galore, a mini garden, and delicious ice cream treats--it also has a surprise you won't expect.  It's also been used in filming several movie scenes.

Bring $20 for tastings, and $12-15 for lunch.  We will be done by 4pm, or leave the tour earlier, if you need to.  Space is limited, due to multiple stops.

From previous attendees:

"A truly superb event - conceived, planned, orchestrated, and executed by Dana. I cannot even begin to comprehend the huge amount of work put into this event to make it happen"

"Wow :) what a fun day with a very wonderful you guide & great friends! Loved the history details, bountiful treats & amazing Italian lunch."

"Dana's outings are often so much more than just photo opportunities. The historical and anecdotal details really make the places come alive, and that was definitely the case here, even more so for doing it with good friends. Thank you Dana!"

"Dana, I think I said you "outdid" yourself the last time, but you really did this time. You create the best adventures!! As previous stated, the history, stories and varied experiences made for incredible day!! The chef today may have outdid your cooking, ha, ha! Thank you for such a marvelous day!!"
